Owner and General Dentist
Dr. Michael Israel is the founder of Precision Smiles, where he combines extensive clinical expertise with a forward-thinking approach to modern dentistry. A graduate of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Israel earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018 and was honored with the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Student Professionalism Award for his display of exemplary professional and humanistic comportment. He completed his General Practice Residency at Northwell North Shore-LIJ in 2019, where he received the GPR Extraordinary Patient Service Recognition Award for excellence in patient care.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Israel has dedicated a significant portion of his career to dental education. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine at the Touro College of Dental Medicine, where he instructs third- and fourth-year dental students in the clinic and delivers lectures across all years of the curriculum. He also provides clinical calibration for faculty members, helping to advance standards of care and clinical consistency.
Dr. Israel is passionate about integrating cutting-edge technology into everyday practice. Precision Smiles is equipped with state-of-the-art tools, including digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, intraoral scanning, 3D printing, soft-tissue lasers, bite-force visual mapping, and fluorescence-based oral pathology screening. This commitment to innovation ensures more precise diagnoses, minimally invasive treatment, and an enhanced patient experience.
At the core of Dr. Israel’s philosophy is a relationship-based model of care. He believes that dentistry should be collaborative and patient-centered, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their oral health. Known for his approachable style, he enjoys educating patients about oral hygiene habits and helping them feel confident in maintaining healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Israel is board certified by the CDCA and licensed to practice dentistry in New York and New Jersey.
Outside the office, he enjoys staying active, taking long walks with his dog (and the office mascot), Miles, playing the guitar and piano, reading, and learning about and experimenting with new technologies.
I feel fortunate to be part of the Precision Smiles team, where I can combine my commitment to patient care with my love of dentistry. As a certified dental assistant with 20 years of experience, I strive to bring both warmth and professionalism to every appointment.
Patients often share that my calm, reassuring presence helps them feel at ease—even during procedures they might have been nervous about. From assisting Dr. Israel chairside to helping prepare oral appliances for patients with temporomandibular disorder, I am dedicated to making your visit as comfortable and positive as possible.
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy watching the Yankees, spending time with my husband, and making great memories. I am also a proud mother of two boys and am incredibly proud of their accomplishments as officers in law enforcement. I love connecting with our patients and learning more about their lives.
As the first person to greet you at Precision Smiles, I take pride in creating a warm and welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. With 25+ years in dental administration, I am passionate about making our office feel like a place where you can feel comfortable, informed, and valued.
Whether I’m helping you schedule your visits, answering questions about treatment plans, or guiding you through your insurance and financing options—including CareCredit—I’m here to ensure that your experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible. My goal is to make sure you feel confident and supported at every step of your dental journey.
Outside the office, I enjoy continuing education courses, and spending time with my family. I am a proud mother and grandmother, and I love sharing stories and connecting with our patients on a personal level.
As your dental hygienist, I believe that building genuine relationships is just as important as providing exceptional clinical care. I have been practicing dental hygiene for 11 years and am passionate about helping patients achieve healthier smiles and feel more confident about their oral health.
I earned my B.A. in psychology from Hunter College before pursuing my dental hygiene degree at New York University College of Dentistry. During my time at NYU, I was honored to be inducted into the Sigma Phi Alpha National Honor Society of Dental Hygienists, a recognition of both academic excellence and dedication to the profession.
During your visit, I focus not only on thorough cleanings and preventive care but also on educating you about simple, effective habits that can make a lasting difference. I enjoy answering questions and empowering patients to take charge of their dental wellness.
Outside of work, I love traveling, bike riding, and spending time with my family. I am a proud mother and enjoy finding balance between my professional life and the time I share with loved ones. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you on your journey to a healthier, happier smile.
Hi, I’m Miles—a proud Shetland Sheepdog and the official office mascot here at Precision Smiles! My main job is making people smile (no dental tools required). Whether I’m greeting you at the front door with a tail wag or quietly relaxing nearby during your visit, I’m here to help make the office feel a little more like home.
Of course, not everyone is a dog person—and that’s okay! For patients who are allergic or simply prefer not to interact with me, I’m more than happy to wait patiently out of sight and out of mind. My goal is to help everyone feel comfortable, relaxed, and welcome.
I love meeting new people, getting gentle pets, and helping patients—especially kids—feel more at ease. My calm nature and friendly personality make me a great listener, even if I can't offer brushing tips (I'll leave that to Dr. Israel and the team).
When I’m off duty, I enjoy long walks, squeaky toys, and taking well-earned naps. I can’t wait to meet you!
